The Abu Dhabi Sports Council decided to cancel the remaining stages of the Emirates Tour race after discovering two cases of Corona virus, who are members of the Italian nationality teams.
The Council announced that its decision comes to preserve the safety and health of all the participants from the teams and players, which comes in the first place of importance. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health and Community Protection announced that all participants in the race, including contestants, administrators and organizers, will be subject to the necessary medical examinations within the active investigation program where All preventive measures have been taken to prevent the transmission of infection and to start specialized examination procedures to ensure that they are free of the disease and to ensure community safety.
The Ministry indicated that it takes all necessary measures, including investigating, examining and following up with those in the context of its precautionary measures in cooperation with health authorities in the country and strengthening the disease surveillance mechanism from any pandemic health efficiently and sustainably to enhance confidence in preventive measures in coordination with all concerned authorities in various sectors in order to harness all national capabilities and capabilities.
