Player A, a PyeongChang Olympic Short Track Gold Medalist, was punished for violating the player registration regulations and was unable to compete in the national competition for one year. The SBS report confirmed that the Korea Ice Federation held a Sports Fair Committee on 24th and gave A a ban for player registration for a year. It was caught that A, a college player, deceived his status and participated in a national tournament as a general player.

The story is like this. A college player applied for a leave of absence last August. According to the Korea Ice Federation Consortium, non-current students are not allowed to register. Nevertheless, he participated in the general competition by deceiving himself as a retired student, not a leave student, in the registration of the National Cup short track competition held in November last year. A dropped out of college in December of that year, and joined the unemployment team in January this year.

This is not the first time A has been rescued. In February of last year, he helped a male athlete who was prohibited from entering a female athlete's quarter in Jincheon athletes' village. Due to disciplinary action, A may not compete in the competition for one year. Because you cannot register a player for one year, you are in fact disciplinary. Player A attended the Fair Committee and explained that it was a mistake. A player official explained, "I submitted the certificate of leave of absence to the Federation at the time of registration. It was a simple mistake to mark a student who is not a leave student. The federation's judgment was different. A federation official said, "I informed the player in advance that the leave of absence is not allowed to enter the university competition."

Player A is reported to be appealing. Disciplinary action in the event of an appeal will be finally decided by the Korea Sports Fair Commission.
