Outside of China, Italy has sailed up as one of the hardest hit countries in the corona eruption. More than 300 people have been affected to date on the Appenin Peninsula and many sporting events have been canceled and postponed.

The Alpine World Cup final is scheduled to take place in Cortina, in the Italian region of Veneto, which has been severely affected by the outbreak. Now Fis announces that the competition will be decided without an audience and should the situation worsen, it may be moved.

André Myhrer is making his last professional alpine season and the competition in Cortina will be his last in his career.

- A unique situation. Hard to say if there is any race at all. Sad to drive his last race without crowds, not great fun, Myhrer tells SVT Sport.

How does it affect driving without driving?

- Never tried in a World Cup. It will probably feel quite strange to come down without any people and quite quiet. It would feel very strange in my last competition, says Myhrer.
