Malmö FF got a good result against Wolfsburg in the Europa League's first sixteen final on Thursday. The Scania club lost 1-2.

In the match, MFF had to replace two players with injuries: Arnor Traustason and Sören Rieks. At the moment, the 32-year-old Danish is ready to play.

- Rieks got a knee to the outside of his thigh after he was replaced. He became too stiff to be able to continue in the second half. There it has gone faster, there is no damage to the structure. He has been stiff for a few days, got started and fully trained today, says MFF's physical therapist Jesper Robertsson.

Traustason did not train with the team

However, it is unclear if Traustason can play the return in Malmö on Thursday. The Icelander did not train with the team today.

- We were indoors to work on his job in the field. He got a bang on the wicket against Syrianska, a few days before Wolfsburg, and then it contracted and became stiff early in the match. There is no major damage to the structure, it's just about removing this stiffness that he has. But we did not think it was good enough today to start loading, says Robertsson, adding:

- If you start too early, it is easy to cramp again. We take it day by day. We didn't write him off on Thursday.
