When the ski association presented the national team squad for the weekend's competitions in Lahti, Calle Halfvarsson was missing.
He ran the first stage of the Ski Tour, where he finished in place 45, then chose to jump off due to illness. He is back in training but a comeback comeback is delayed.
- He has started well with training, but waits to compete because he had to cancel the tour, says men's team coach Fredrik Uusitalo.
Had great problems during the season
The cold during the tour is not the only setback for Halfvarsson during the season. He has had major problems with his stomach and, among other things, been in hospital to investigate his problems.
After the opening stage of the tour, where he finished 45th, he told me that he was not completely fit.
- I have been at the border if I am healthy or ill and have been doubtful. This was a chance. We'll see if it lasts tomorrow and if I can continue the tour or not, Halfvarsson told SVT Sport then.
Since then he has not competed and a comeback of the competition will not be this weekend either.
