The Zamalek club’s board of directors announced the non-completion of the Egyptian Football League matches, and the Ahly club’s board of directors chose to resort to the International Football Association (FIFA) in order to object to the decisions of the interim committee that runs the Egyptian Football Association.

Nadia Al-Zamalek and Al-Ahly called for an urgent meeting of the two boards of directors today, Sunday, to respond to the sanctions imposed by the Egyptian Disciplinary Committee on the team after the events of the Super Cup match that brought together the red team with its traditional rivals Zamalek last Thursday.

Zamalek Club said on its official website today that the Board of Directors took a unanimous decision not to complete the league competition "in light of the presence of the illegal five-party committee headed by Amr Al-Janayni."

After the decision was issued, the Board of Directors informed the technical staff of the camp team and left the hotel where the players are located.

For his part, Al-Ahly’s Board of Directors decided to file a complaint against the Egyptian Federation and the decisions of the Discipline Committee to the International Federation and the International Sports Court (Cass).

The council also decided to file a complaint against "the official who charges, insults and curses without deterrence," referring to the president of Zamalek, Mortada Mansour.

The match, which took place at a stadium in the Emirati capital Abu Dhabi and ended with the victory of Zamalek 4-3 on penalties, witnessed many clashes between the players of the two teams, in addition to some players referring to the fans with unethical signals.

And the disciplinary committee issued severe penalties yesterday, Saturday, against the background of these events, including, in particular, the suspension of two players until the end of the season, and the imposition of fines on both clubs.
