A video review resulted in a Zlatan Ibrahimovic goal being sentenced, about half an hour into the away match against Fiorentina.

In the pictures, it seemed like the ball hit the Milan-Swedish arm, and thus it was not 1-0 for Milan there.

Caceres failed to clean up

However, it was eleven minutes into the second half. Fiorentina's Martin Caceres failed to score with a clearance, then the ball went to Ante Rebic who shot 1-0.

Six minutes later, Zlatan Ibrahimovic was about to be set free. He was then dropped by Dalbert Henriique, who was therefore given a red card.

Cutrone was torn down

Then, with one man more on the pitch, most people probably thought that Milan could defend the lead and win the match.

But that did not happen. With ten minutes left of regular match time, former Milan player Patrick Cutrone was demolished in the penalty area by Alessio Romagnoli. After the VAR review, there was a penalty - and Erick Pulgar put 1-1.

Fiorentina close to 2–1

That result stood out the match, and the fact was that it was Fiorentina - even though they had a player less on the pitch - who was closest to winning.

Next they were in the 91st minute. Patrick Cutrone on the right of goal scored into Martin Cáceres who headed a ball saved by Asmir Begovic with a sharp leg pair. On the return, Dusan Vlahovic then shot high over.

The undisclosed result means that Milan, at least temporarily, climbs two positions in the regular mid-match. They are mu seven, one point ahead of Verona and Parma who have a match less played.
