With a lead for Brignone with 0.58 ahead of slalom specialist Vlhova ahead of the second race, many people believed that Vlhova would take the victory.

And it seemed to be just that.

Federica Brignone was first out on the slopes and delivered a stable ride. Vlhova was next out and shrunk the distance to six hundredths but then a miss came and she bounded.

Wendy Holdener's next challenger

After that, nobody could challenge Brignone for the victory.

Wendy Holdener, who was in tenth place after the first race, was the next slalom specialist out after Vlhova. She had 1.50 up to the Italian but instead of approaching and taking a pallet spot, she dropped and finished in fifth place.

Federica Brignone took her second comeback victory for the season of two possible.
