Mustafa Mohamed turned 21 in total in Seville and he improved his seven-year-old personal record, writes the Swedish Athletics Association. With the new Swedish record of 2.10.04, he signed SOK's nomination requirements for the Tokyo Olympics by just over 56 seconds.

Mohamed also beat David Nilsson's 2.5 month old Swedish record by just five seconds. Nilsson ran on 2.10.08 during the Valencia Marathon and he then beat Kjell-Erik Ståhl's 36 year old Swedish record in the marathon of 2.10.38.

Sweden now has two runners under SOK's nomination requirements.
