The last four games of the first leg of the soccer J1 were held, and the last season's champion, Yokohama F. Marinos, lost to Gamba Osaka 1-to-2, and started off the game.

Marinos lost two points in the first half and scored a goal in the second half with the goal of last season's top scorer Marcos Junior, but could not catch up.
