It was in the semi-finals of today's World Cup competition that Näslund got a flight and spun an entire lap in the air before she hit the slopes.

After a few minutes of restlessness - Näslund had previously been injured in a cross-band - the Swede was able to get up on his own machine and limp away from the track.

Näslund believes she got stuck on Marielle Berger Sabbatel's skis.

"Just tried to survive"

- It felt like I never landed, but otherwise I couldn't think much but just tried to survive. It was a hard landing and it just turned black. Afterwards I was a little shocked and stayed on the ground for a while to feel that everything was complete, she says on the phone from Russia.

Were you scared about your injury history?

- It is clear that you become scared when such a thing happens. When I landed I dropped the air, but then it still felt calm. I was just beaten.

She went on to the "little final" about ten minutes later and won it, which resulted in a fifth place.

A contest remains

When a competition remains, Näslund leads the overall World Cup at 855 points - 59 ahead of Fanny Smith.

The Swiss won today's competition in Russia and thus entered the Swedish.

- It's still a match so now it's just to reload for the last race and give the iron.

You will not examine the body after the crash?

- No, not as it feels right now anyway.
