Italian police hit Russian biathlon early this morning - with world champion Alexander Loginov as target.

He, along with teammate Yevgeny Garanitev, was awakened by police trying to break the door to their room.

"They took our weapons, as if we were dangerous criminals," the Russian himself tells Match TV.

Ferry: "Not unexpected"

This is how SVT's experts Björn Ferry and Helena Ekholm react to the big news of the morning:

- Sad, but not entirely unexpected. Since it's happened to him before, I'm not surprised, says Ferry.

- I am not surprised that it hits him just because of his history. He has been suspended for doping before and there has been much speculation even now.

"Stressed in Russian team now"

The raid happened just hours before today's men's relay where Loginov is currently listed as Russia's last rider. Garanitev is also looking to go as planned.

- To be awakened by a raid and then still feel that "I can probably compete today" ... myself I would probably be quite shaken and shocked and not think about competition the first thing I do, says Helena Ekholm.

Björn Ferry believes that the Swedish national team leadership had already put the person in question.

- It must be damn hard for the team to know how this is going to be. It is probably stressful for the entire Russian organization. They try to get back to the finroom but get farther and farther away, he says.
