Eden Hazard is currently on the side of Real Madrid. The attacker sustained a fracture in his ankle in the lost away match against Levante (1-0) on Saturday, causing him to miss El Clásico next week.
Hazard sustained the injury in the second half when he wanted to give a heel, after which he walked limping off the field after 67 minutes. Real-coach Zinédine Zidane indicated after the game that it didn't look good and scans showed on Sunday that he was suffering from a stress fracture in his ankle.
29-year-old Hazard had only just recovered from a similar injury that kept him from the end of last year until last week. He made his comeback on February 16 in the home game with Celta de Vigo after months of absence.
The new injury is a big damper for Real, which will start its two-part match with Manchester City on Wednesday in the eighth finals of the Champions League. Four days later the squatter is waiting against FC Barcelona in Estadio Santiago Bernabéu.
Partly due to injury injuries, Hazard played only fifteen official games this season, including ten league matches. The Belgian, who came from Chelsea last summer, scored once and delivered five assists on behalf of Real, which currently occupies second place in La Liga.
