A player of the reserve team of the amateur soccer club of Sermaises (Loiret) was sentenced to a 25-year suspension for hitting a referee during a match, we learned from the disciplinary committee on Friday from the Loiret district. Above all, the ban does not only concern football. The player also "prohibited [from] subscribing [to a license] in another discipline during this period," said Bernard Bourillon, the president of the district in Loiret.

Two other players sanctioned

“We fight against violence every weekend. With this decision, we hope that the club presidents will react, it must not happen again, it is intolerable, unacceptable, "added Bernard Bourillon. Two other Sermaises players, who had made “threats and intimidation” towards the referee, were sentenced to two and three years of suspension, while the reserve team was excluded for the rest of the season.
