Sweden start with match away against Croatia on Friday to continue with home match against Turkey on Monday. Two strong basketball nations, but according to Håkanson, Sweden has chances to win.
- We know we are underdogs but we have beaten Turkey before and Croatia we do not yet know what team they will join. But we should try to peel in any match anyway.
For this weekend's matches, Sweden will manage without three top names, Jonas Jerebko, Jeffery Taylor and Marcus Eriksson, as they are not released from their club teams playing league games in the Euro League at the same time.
Borg makes a comeback
- They are our three best players. Then Simon Birgander is also gone because of injury, which makes it tough. Especially when Croatia and Turkey get to bring some of their players from Euro Leauge.
Back in the squad is also Tobias Borg, who has not done any international competition since the summer of 2018.
