Sheikha Ahmed, a member of the Emirates Women’s Paragliding Team, revealed that she is currently preparing to jump from a height of 13,000 feet above the pyramids of Egypt, carrying the UAE flag, in June. She described this as a dream that has long befalled her, and she is happy that she will be the first woman to achieve this.

The parachute, Sheikha, told «Emirates Today»: “I am armed with my previous experiences in order to achieve the dream of jumping from the top of the pyramids of Egypt carrying the Emirates flag.” She stressed that she is currently training regularly in the area of ​​Murgham in Dubai before traveling to Egypt, noting that she will make six leaps from the highest pyramids Egypt.

She said that she uses the training of experts in the field of skydiving, in addition to her long experience in this field, and stressed: "I prepare and train for the jump, in order also to anticipate any emergency that may occur during the process of jumping from a very high height."

And on the umbrella that you will use, Sheikha explained: "Use an advanced umbrella designed for high-altitude jumping, and it has all safety and security measures." And I continued, "I have already jumped from a height of 13,000 feet, while participating in previous championships." She confirmed that she is also preparing to participate in the new season’s championships in skydiving. It is noteworthy that Sheikha had previously competed in many international championships, inside and outside the UAE, including competitions in America, Spain and Bosnia. On another side, she revealed that her hobbies are not limited to skydiving, as she loves horse riding as well.
