It is not a surprise. The bottom of the Virage Sud will be closed during the Girondins de Bordeaux's next home game against Nice on March 1. This sanction from the disciplinary commission of the Professional Football League is the consequence of the use of smoke bombs against OM in early February while the club was under a suspended sentence.
The VS had already been sanctioned this season with a firm match (against Strasbourg) and a suspended sentence after the incidents against Nîmes in the fall (interruption of the match due to the presence of supporters at the edge of the field). As against the Alsatians, the Ultramarines, the largest group of Bordeaux supporters, should be replaced in the stadium. It remains to be seen where? At the top of the Virage Sud which will be open this time or in a quarter of a turn as the first time this season.
As a reminder, there will also be no Bordeaux supporters at the Parc des Princes Sunday because the outdoor parking was closed after there also the revocation of another stay.
Young Algerian arrives, Kamano should stay
On the field side, a new kid is expected this Thursday at the Château du Haillan. It is the young Algerian defender Naoufel Khacef. The François Kamano dossier seems to have stalled. Solicited by two Russian clubs including Krasnodar and an MLS (North American Championship) club, the Girondins have not really advanced in recent days while for example the transfer window ends this Friday in Russia. The player should finish the season at the club.
