Johaug took command directly during the long run, only Ebba Andersson and Heidi Weng managed to follow the Norwegian. But after just over five kilometers of rough skiing, they were also forced to drop and instead had to make up for second and third place together with Ingvild Flugstad Östberg.

But after 50 minutes of driving, the Norwegian had left Andersson behind. After the race came the explanation: A new Swedish poppy miss.

- I keep up the pace when we get into a climb and feel right, so I'll release Ingvild - but in the next downhill skiing I will not hang.

Do you mean you haven't really slipped to hang them down?

- I felt that it was so, says a disappointed Andersson.
