The 38 km long stage in the Ski Tour, a mass start in freestyle, would have been decided on the mountain between Storlien and Norwegian Meråker - but due to strong winds the race was shortened to 34 km with start and finish in Meråker.

Johaug took command directly during the long run, after just over five kilometers of tough skiing uphill, Ebba Andersson, Heidi Weng and Ingvild Flugstad Östberg were forced to release. But Östberg found new forces towards the end and pressed Johaug extensively. Just a couple of seconds the riders separated - but Johaug held off and thereby further extended the overall lead.

Heidi Weng finished third and Ebba Andersson, who went long with just Weng and Östberg finished fourth again. Swedish third place in Ski Tour.
