Liverpool coach Juergen Klopp criticized the tactics of Atletico Madrid after the defending champion stumbled to a 0-1 defeat at home in the first leg of the Champions League final round price in the Spanish capital on Tuesday evening.

Saul Negez scored the only goal of the match after a defensive confusion inside the region after a fourth minute corner kick to ignite the atmosphere at Wanda Metropolitan Stadium, but Club was not happy with coach Simeone's team style, especially with regard to repeated falls.

"You need to be really strong in such an atmosphere," Klopp told reporters, addressing his verdict. "After the first thirty minutes, three of the opponent's players fell to the ground and I don't know why."

"The opponent achieved the result, but the fans did not come to watch a fun match. Atletico came to come out with such a result from the match, and he did that. So he feels very happy and we are not happy."

The snapshot was the most controversial when Atletico demanded the dismissal of Liverpool player Sadio Mane after a strong joint ball with Shimla Versallico at a time he had a yellow card after a mistake against the Croatian player himself.

The coach replaced his Senegalese player with the start of the second half.

"The plan today was to get Sadio out of the game after he got a yellow card," said Klopp - who received a yellow card for protesting outside the stadium. "I had some fear that his opponent could fall to the ground if Sadio got a deep breath or something like that."

"I didn't want such a situation to happen so I replaced it. It was targeted and it was clear. This is part of football but I don't like it," he added.

The German coach witnessed many amazing uprisings in the European second leg at Anfield, and Atlético warned against what he expected next month in front of the enthusiastic fans.

"As long as we can push 11 players with the Liverpool jersey, we will do our best. For all Atletico fans who have received tickets, welcome to Anfield," Klopp added.

He concluded by saying, "We are at some point between the two halves, and we are 0-1 behind and we do not give up if there are 15 minutes left, so why do we do this while we have three weeks and more importantly, the second half will take place on our court."
