The effort for longer distances became too tough - which Stina Nilsson considers to be a reason why the rest of the season is over for her part.

- I think I tightened the bow too hard this summer. Had I not had that training debt when I fell this summer, then maybe the body would have prioritized "now we heal this injury as a priori one", rather than recovering from all the training I had done, says Stina Nilsson to SVT Sport.

Has his own theory

It was last summer that she rolled during training and pulled a crack in a rib. Her own theory is that when the battle against the chest came, other parts took a beating and that she developed a stress fracture from something that arose then.

- Regardless, it is because I did not take the time to rest and heal what was there, she says.

The most recent radiology she did showed that the fracture from last summer was not completely healed, but despite that she has been running.

- It's part of my personality. But as hard as I've driven now, I've learned that the body always wins, she says.
