17:28 on February 16 due to anti-infection measures such as ORIX sign and handshake

In response to the spread of the new coronavirus, ORIX, a professional baseball player, has announced that it will refrain from providing fan services such as autographing and shaking hands for a while from the 17th.

ORIX has been camping in Miyazaki City with both 1st and 2nd athletes since 1st of this month, and until now the players have been providing fan services such as signing, shaking hands, and taking photos after practice.

However, due to the spread of the new coronavirus, the team has decided to refrain from providing such fan services as a preventive measure for the time being from the 17th.

We will post on the campsite and publish it on the homepage of the baseball team to ask fans to understand about refraining from fan service.

Orix director Tokufumi Nishimura said, "I'm really sorry for the fans, but I want you to be convinced in light of the growing number of infections."

Orix's Miyazaki camp will have an open game and a practice game starting on 23rd of this month, but the team is also considering requesting self-restraint using jet balloons.
