The big loss is something that has caused the Swedish gentlemen to cut back on training, among other things.

- It's terribly a lot of money. These 15 million could have been spent much better. We know that they have been forced to cut down on trainings for men at the European Cup, they have not had coaches and such things. It is clear that this money could have been invested very well, says Pernilla Wiberg.

However, Wiberg does not think this should deter Sweden from organizing this type of championship in the future.

- We had a World Cup 2007 that went much better. And it is clear that we should have international championships, otherwise we should not have riders who participate and compete abroad either. Sweden must also be there and take its responsibility.
