The Association of professional handball players denounced Thursday in a press release the illegal prescription of pregnancy tests to players of Nantes Atlantique Handball. But the club has since gone to the front to affirm that the sportswomen were aware.

The whole club went up to the front yesterday to denounce in unison the Association of professional handball players, at the origin of this accusation. During a press conference, the main interested parties affirmed that they were aware, indicating that if one of them nevertheless alerted the union, it was primarily because she did not understand the process .

"What shocks me is that obviously the way it was relayed and distorted," reacts Camille Ayglon Saurina, right-back and international tricolor. "We are talking about illegality, we are talking about things that are really serious", continues the champion, reaffirming her confidence in the club doctor. "He has his office, he has other patients, he has no accountability to the leaders for the results of the analyzes. (...) We want to stand up and say that we trust our doctor. "

Arnaud Ponroy, the president of the club, goes further and questions the intentions of the Association at the origin of the controversy. "It could be a settling of scores," he said. "There is no story and there is a players union that has not been very normal. They have never done that in the past. It may be just politics, I do not know."

Nantes Atlantique Handball now has a week to recover from its emotions before Fleury's reception next Friday for the knockout stages of the Coupe de France.
