Frida Karlsson opened the spike in the opening of the Ski tour in Östersund, and had the second fastest time at 2.6 kilometers. But after that she lost a lot, and in the next interim 1.6 kilometers later she had lost just over ten seconds on many riders, and even more so on dominant Therese Johaug.

In goal she lost further and ended up in a 19th place, 59 seconds from the podium.

Norwegian domination

Instead, it was Ebba Andersson who stood for the best Swedish effort when she challenged for a place on the podium. But even Ebba Andersson would lose at the end. But there it was far from as much, and there was only one fall from third to fourth for Ebba Andersson who failed to match Ingvild Flugstad Östberg's speed at the end, and ended six seconds after the Norwegian in third place, and eight seconds behind Heidi Weng.

"Got to wear hard"

- I thought it felt good. Especially in the beginning, but then I had to fight hard. That was not what I had hoped for, Ebba Andersson tells SVT Sport.

After Ebba it was also very red there, when Ragnhild Haga and Astrid Jacobsen finished fifth and sixth. Now the hunting starts are waiting, and there Ebba aims to get even more red-clad behind him.

- It is important to have the vision ahead. That's the way forward I want. It is important to reload for tomorrow, she says.
