The weather situation makes it a shorter rally. Several routes have been changed or forced to be deleted. Instead of 300 km there will now be about 180 km to be driven.

- It was the only right thing to do given the conditions and now it will be something of a sprint rally where it is important to be involved from the start, says the SVT expert.

The world champion figure is favored

Some who can benefit from the new conditions?

- Yes, the Hyundai stable can have an advantage because they have run test on the current substrate a bit more. Know how long tires and tires last, Jonas Kruse says.

In the stable there are expert favorites Odd Tänak, Graig Breen and Thierry Neuville who recently won Monte Carlorallyt.

Battle of Värmland

The Swedish drivers are in the classes during the main class. Pontus Tidemand in WRC2 and Oliver Solberg and Johan Kristoffersson in WRC3.

- It will be something of the battle for Värmland for Pontus, Oliver and Johan, says SVT's expert. And there I think Pontus Tidemand succeeds best. He is fast and is experienced.

Maria Wallberg and expert Jonas Kruse are SVT's commentators on site in Värmland.
