Alex Kessidis was set against Ukrainian Volodymyr Jakovlijev in tonight's bronze match. The match was initially awaiting and the Swede could with his length advantage control the Ukrainian who was not given any positions to score. Instead, Jakovlijev was warned of passivity and put in parterrate by the judge.

It made the best use of Kessidis and secured a five-point lead after two separate throws. After the break, the Ukrainian had to chase points, but Alexander Kessidis was stagnant and could comfortably control the game into goal. Jakovlijev was given few chances for a receipt and the final score was 5-2. Kessidis, who is already ready for the Olympics, was able to take home the 77-kg Greek-Roman European bronze medal.
