Frida Karlsson's ninth place in the World Cup competition in Falun on Sunday was her first race in 70 days. The 20-year-old was very happy afterwards with his comeback after the competition association.

- The placement doesn't matter, it was just getting started and feeling like I'm back. It felt good for a long time today, she told SVT Sport.

Mum Mia Karlsson, who is also the manager, was happy to see her daughter in the tracks again.

- It's really nice. She really did the job and today it was not a competition, but a finish. Now Frida is where she wants to be. She has brought a lot of lessons with this. This is nothing she wants undone. Now a new phase and another mental picture awaits. Now you can start to think a little about performance, she tells SVT Sport.

Can compete in Lycksele

Next weekend awaits a tour, starting in Östersund on Saturday and Sunday. But it seems to be without Frida Karlsson.

- The plan has been that she should not run a tour in this situation, but we must obviously discuss this after today's race, says national team doctor Magnus Oscarsson to Aftonbladet.

Mia Karlsson believes that the decision is entirely with the medical team.

- I think they (Frida and the management) talked a little about it. It is not Frida who decides, but the whole team that decides. Frida really has no case there. For the weekend to come there is a Sweden Cup in Lycksele and a Ski Tour in Östersund. She can choose the Swedish Cup if she wants to go, when she runs for the club.

Does it sound like she will be competing this weekend no matter what?

- I absolutely believe that, says Mia Karlsson.
