The Vice-President of the Disciplinary Committee of the Football Association, the official spokesman, Counselor Hamdan Al-Zyoudi, told «Emirates Today»: “The clubs of the three players have the right to use any new foreign player for each of them, and the involvement of these clubs for four foreign players in the UAE league matches, besides the presence of this trio It is considered legal, because these players have become citizens, and all the conditions of citizenship by rule of law apply to them.

"I expect these players' contracts with their clubs to change according to their new situation, as they have become citizen players," he added.

For his part, Said Al-Zahmi, the former head of the Appeals Committee in the Football Association, said that "the cards of the three players will be transferred automatically in the local competitions from foreign professional players to citizens professional players, and they will complete the rest of the current season's competitions with their teams as citizens, after their nationalities have changed." .

In turn, the legal advisor, Obaid Al-Shuwaihi, affirmed that “the three players changed their nationalities, and they are now citizens, as they are in the case of any citizen in the state, and therefore they cannot continue playing with their clubs with their previous nationalities.”
