Onshore Ogura takes 1 hour and 0 minutes in the half marathon at 16:37 on February 2 in Japan

In a half marathon boy in Marugame, Kagawa Prefecture, Yusuke Ogura set a new record in Japan just 1 hour and 0 minutes, updating the previous Japanese record for 17 seconds.

In the Kagawa Marugame International Half Marathon, the top players in Japan gathered every year, and Yuta Shitara, who has a record of 1 hour 0 minutes 17 seconds in Japan, participated.

Shitara was just over 15 kilometers behind, and Yusuke Ogura and Taku Fujimoto were fighting for the lead with foreign players.

At around 20.5 km, Ogura spurted off Fujimoto over a spurt, and he finished second in 1 hour 0 minutes, just 17 seconds from the Japanese record.

Fujimoto also finished in 4th place at 1 hour 0 minutes and 6 seconds higher than the Japanese record, and Shitara, who aimed for a new Japanese record, was 6th place with 1 hour 0 minutes and 49 seconds.

The top players in Japan, including Ogura, have recently raced with Nike platform shoes, which have been banned from use by the World Land Federation.

Ogura said, "It was not the time I was aiming for, but I was planning to adjust for the Tokyo Marathon. I am really happy to have the Japanese record." We gave momentum for the Tokyo Marathon of the day.

The winner was Australia's Brett Robinson at 59:57.
