After almost a year's absence from the race track, Khaddi Sagnia made a comeback in Växjö almost two weeks ago. A strong comeback where she jumped 6.67. The Athletics World Cup would be a springboard to the Olympics but now the competition is set.

- It is very sad that it was canceled, I have been looking forward to it. Especially now that I am back from injury and can really compete. At the same time you have to take the health of the athletes first and foremost, so it's still a good decision, says Sagnia.

When this championship was canceled, it is instead the Olympic Games that will be the next major championship for the athletes. The jump in Växjö was a bit from the Olympic qualifying limit and the World Cup had been an excellent opportunity to pass it.

- It had been, absolutely. The faster you manage it, the easier it will be to relax. This does not mean that the chance to qualify is excluded. There is still a chance to pass the qualifying limit in the regular competitions, so I will give my all, she says.

The Athletics World Cup in China would launch in March. Due to the Corona virus, the competition has now moved to March 2021. But Sagnia is glad that the message came now.

- It's better that we found out now than a few days before we would have gone. Then you have already got ready to go mentally, now we have not come so far. There are several competitions left before the World Cup would take place so the focus is here and now, she says.

So far, nothing new has been added to her calendar instead of the World Cup. The highlights of the spring will be the three competitions that have been planned since before. First of all, competition in Germany is waiting for the weekend where hopes are to get a good placement and good results, but also to experience a good audience.

- It should be a great competition with a lot of audience. In Germany, there is always a lot of audience and I love that. So I'll take advantage of that and run the iron, says Sagnia.
