The goal was just one of several Swedish successes when Toronto beat Nashville by 5-2 in the NHL ice hockey.

Swedes - four in each team - were tight on the rink. And the Swedes made a direct impression. William Nylander came free and was able to poke in 1-0 after five minutes, after Sandin lobbied him over half the ice. The goal was Nylander's 23rd goal of the season - new season's best.

Positioned high

Filip Forsberg provided an assist when Nashville acknowledged, but the Swedish collaboration Nylander – Sandin soon struck again. At the beginning of the second period, Nylander got an assist when Sandin was able to push the puck into the cage after a little disorder in front of goal. The 19-year-old hill clenched her fist with joy. The scoreboard listed 3-1 to Toronto.

- I was a little behind the game and then the puck just came out. I saw it at the last second and he (the goalkeeper) covered low and leaned forward, so I tried to place it high, and fortunately it went in, Sandin tells reporters after the match.

"Wonderful feeling"

Sandin was praised by the coach, but he himself had difficulty digesting his first NHL goal.

- I've had many dreams about how I would celebrate. I don't think I did any of them today, other than screaming, so it was a wonderful feeling, ”says Sandin.

In the third period, another Swedish team work led to a reduction of 4-2 for Nashville, when Viktor Arvidsson was able to put the puck after a return on a shot by Mattias Ekholm. But that was not enough for the home team and Toronto's Auston Matthews finished the match putting 5-2 in the final minutes.
