Feyenoord has striker Róbert Bozeník inside. Twenty-year-old Slovak comes from MSK Zilina from his home country and signs a 4.5-year contract in De Kuip.
In the battle for Bozeník's signature, Feyenoord had competition from, among others, Hamburger SV. Allegedly the Rotterdammers pay between 4 and 5 million euros.
The talented Bozeník, who has eight international matches and four goals behind his name on behalf of Slovakia, has to compete with Feyenoord with Nicolai Jørgensen.
Bozeník came to 58 official games at Zilina, in which he scored nineteen and gave six assists. In the competition the counter this season stands at sixteen games and three goals.
Feyenoord made financial room for Bozeník by selling Kenneth Vermeer (Los Angeles FC), Yassin Ayoub (Panathinaikos) and Liam Kelly (Oxford United, rent) among others.
Trainer Dick Advocaat, who strongly supported the arrival of Bozeník, also hopes to bring a midfielder to Feyenoord this winter. With the club he is currently third in the Eredivisie.
