Peppe Femlin accounted for a perfectly okay first round. He had "only" two bars and was only seven seconds from Norway in third place at the relay in German Ruhpolding.

But then came two heavy stretches for Sweden.

Switched to 15th place

First, Jesper Nelin fired four beams in the upright position, thereby forcing a penalty round. He then switched first as a 15th man. In addition, his ride was weak, he had only 14 rides and lost a whole minute in leading France.

"It was really heavy," Nelin noted afterwards.

- I have to take in too much and I can't really push on the last lap.

"Damn it ..."

He told me it was really hard to go in the heavy snow.

- Yeah, damn it ... It's really heavy. It's like having glue on your skis. I'm so damn tired after two turns and lose the last two shots. No, it's boring ...

Five bars for Ponsiluoma

It was sad for Martin Ponsiluoma on the third stage. He escaped penalties, but had five bars and switched as eleven riders, 3.41 after France.

- It's just too bad shooting and far too many extra shots. And the ride there is nothing to say the self, it's like glue under the skis.

Superior French victory

On the fourth stretch Sebastian Samuelsson, after an okay shooting (two extra shots) managed to move Sweden to ninth place, 4.05.9 after France.

France won by far. They were 1.12.2 before the second Norway.
