Rublev became the first tennis player in 16 years to win two tournaments in a row at the start of the season

The victory in the tournament in Adelaide was for Rublev the second in a row at the start of the season. Last week, the Russian won the competition in Doha.

Rublev became the first tennis player since 2004, who won two starting tournaments of the season. 16 years ago, Slovak tennis player Dominik Hrbaty succeeded.

Rublev previously defeated South African Lloyd spokesman George Harris at the Association of Professional Tennis Players (APR) tournament in Adelaide. Thanks to this victory, he will become the second racket of Russia next week.
