Nearly a year has passed since Khaddi Sagnia pulled the cross band, a serious knee injury that required surgery, and meant she missed the World Cup in Qatar in September.

She was then registered for the Swedish Championships in Karlstad - according to Värmlands Folkblad - but when the length qualification started on Tingvalla IP, the 25-year-old was missing, who had then chosen to forgo the competition.

Now Sagnia is up for comeback again.

The long jump is registered for a competition in Växjö this weekend.

"Interesting"

- It will be interesting and fun to compete again after almost a whole year without competitions. So you can definitely say that I have missed standing on the track, says Sagnia to the Swedish Athletics Association's website.

- Training and rehabilitation have gone according to plan. I rehearsed from February to October, and combined it with build-up training. I would say that I am in good shape, now it is just to compete and become the competition habit again by focusing on the right things about competitions and keeping the concentration now when I am leaving my comfort zone.

"Good genre"

Sagnia, who injured the cross band at the start of a hurdle race at Nordenkampen in February, tells the website that she will be slow and that the indoor season will be seen as part of the pre-season for the outdoor season.

- It will be a good genre to get a feel for how to lie and what needs to be sanded on. The year as a whole I have high hopes for. I hope to be able to step up in competitions and take one or more steps there, as well as sharpen me even more when it comes to some of my characteristics.

For the competition in the Telekonsult arena also Tilde Johansson, 60 meters hurdles, Angelica Bengtsson, pole, 60 meters and length, Thobias Montler, 60 meters, and Sofie Skoog, height, were announced.
