There is talk of a Danish invasion of Malmö Arena in the middle round. But with the reigning world champions knocked out of the tournament, there is great uncertainty as to whether the arena will be colored blue-yellow, red-white or maybe even half empty when the matches in the main round start.

- We do not see that the case of Denmark affects us in any other way than it will be a drop. I can't judge the drop, but we still see that the majority of our Danish supporters will watch handball regardless of whether Denmark plays or not, Krister Bergström, CEO of Handball European Championship 2020, told SVT Sport on Thursday.

The Swedish players have received four tickets for each match and if they have wanted to have more for family and friends they have been forced to pay tickets from their own pocket. The same has been done by many of the Danish players. After the European Championships, several of the Danish players have turned to their Swedish colleagues in an attempt to get rid of tickets to the main round.

- Some guys in the team have been asked to buy extra tickets from the Danish friends in different teams. It's obviously a miscalculation for them. Now we see how it is in the arena in the main round. What we have been told, the Danes have bought many tickets in advance. In terms of sport, it might not be the best thing that they left.

At lunchtime on Thursday, there were only 700 tickets left for Sweden's first match against Portugal. Simon Jeppsson hopes to see a blue-yellow Malmö arena come alive - just as it did during the three opening championship matches in Scandinavium.

- It gives so much extra adrenaline to run out in front of 11,000 yellow-clad. We want that feeling in Malmö. So I hope the Swedes manage to pick up tickets.
