After two delayed game days due to bad air, caused by the extensive forest fires in Australia, Johanna Larsson finally got into the Australian Open qualification early on Thursday morning, Swedish time.

Once on the tennis court, things went smoothly for the 213rd-ranked Swedish, who beat Polish Urszula Radwanska, ranked 218th in the world, in two straight sets, 6-3, 6-1.

Two more victories are needed for Larsson to make it to the Australian Open's main tournament, and next, Luxembourg opposition in the form of 34-year-old Mandy Minella, 140, awaits the world rankings.

Larsson and Minella have met five times during their careers and it has become a Swedish victory on three occasions. The last meeting, in July 2018, however, won the Luxembourg.
