The technical staff of the first football team in the Egyptian Al-Ahly Club decided to sign a heavy fine for Moroccan club striker Walid Azzaro because of his objection to the technical staff’s decisions in the last Tanta match.

The Egyptian club Al-Ahly said in an official statement that these sanctions come within the framework of the commitment policy imposed by the technical staff on the team, and in accordance with the rules in force in Al-Ahly.

And the Egyptian newspapers quoted a source in Al-Ahly as saying that "the real reason behind Azzaro's punishment is because he left the players' residence yesterday before the Tanta match after announcing the list in a lecture on the players and his knowledge of exclusion from them."

The source added that the doubling of the penalty for the player was due to his absence from the team's training yesterday without prior permission.

There were reports that the player would leave the Red Castle free of charge, after Al-Ahly contracted Senegalese striker Alio Badji during the current winter transfer period.

Al-Ahly beat Tanta by five clean in the Egyptian League competition on Wednesday evening in the 13th round of the competition.
