Algerian national coach Djamel Belmadi launched a new challenge for his players after months of crowning the African Nations Cup football, and set a goal for them during the World Cup to be hosted by Qatar in 2022.

Belmadi said during a quota for the French channel "Canal Plus", "If we qualify for the World Cup, the goal will be to win the championship", and a smile was drawn on his face before adding "Let's talk seriously ... the goal will not be participation and will not only be providing what we can do .. We will work To offer everything and we will not believe in the impossible ... the players will not put any limit to their ambition. "

The Algerian coach's comments received wide attention on social media, and followers compared them to similar statements he made in the past before the African Nations Cup that took place last summer in Egypt.

Belmadi spoke in remarks before traveling to Egypt about crowning the championship, and faced widespread criticism, given the level of the Algerian national team, which was not among the candidates to reach the advanced roles, but the former coach of the Qatari club, Al-Duhail, celebrated the company with its players after winning the final in Senegal.

Belmadi and his players will have to pass the African qualifiers before thinking about their career in the Qatar World Cup.

The Algerian national team will meet its competitors in the first stage of the qualifying rounds, during the draw that Egypt will host on January 21st.

The qualifiers will start next October, when the teams will be divided into ten groups, and the leaders of the groups will meet in a second round to win five cards to participate in the World Cup in Qatar.
