Williams is not afraid that this year the car will not be ready in time for the new season in Formula 1. The British racing team had to miss the first test days in Barcelona last year because there was still too much work to be done on the car.
"We have set ourselves high goals this winter, especially in the field of aerodynamics and finding more performance . There were also some mechanical errors that we had to correct," team boss Claire Williams told GPUpdate on Wednesday.
"We are making a lot of progress in all these areas. Of course, the main goal is to get the car ready in time for the lights to turn green during the test, if not before. I am confident that it will work. "
Williams had to leave the car in the pit box on the first and second day of the test days in Barcelona last year and was only able to drive for the first time on the third day at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.

Williams could not repair the damage sustained during the season. The former top team, which won seven drivers' titles in the eighties and nineties, ended in one place with no chance at the last place in the World Cup stand for constructors.
