Argentine star Lionel Messi confirmed that his strong competition for nearly ten years with Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo will remain stuck in the minds of the fans forever, as he revealed the strongest defender he watched in the stadiums.

The Barcelona captain said in an interview with the English "DZZ" network that his competition with Ronaldo when he was playing for Real "will remain forever" in people's minds.

Ronaldo moved to Juventus in the summer of 2018 due to disagreements with Real Madrid president Florentino Perez, to start a new chapter in the conflict with Messi, in which the latter outperformed the latter in 2019 and won the world golden ball for the sixth time, beating the Don five times.

Messi expressed his belief that the fans of the two teams in general "were also enjoying" this competition, describing it as "very nice" and that it was making matches between the two teams when Ronaldo in Real was always distinct and more important than it is now.

The player himself revealed that the strongest competitor who was put under close control during his career in the stadium is the right back of Girona, 22-year-old Spanish club, Pablo Mafio, describing his censorship of their two games together as "crazy."
