The Peace Cycling Championship is witnessing the establishment of the first race for female citizens, as part of the event that is held under the guidance and care of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and organized by His Highness for Procurement and Finance, whose total financial rewards are three million dirhams .
The organizing committee announced the completion of registration of 40 amateur girls who are not affiliated with any club, provided that this copy, which is held in the Peace Zone of the Al-Marmum Nature Reserve for a distance of 50 km, is a pilot race according to the same specifications approved for the main races in the framework of support and motivation of women, and strive to install this race In the future championship calendar.
The championship will be on schedule with 48 bus hours, as the elite men's race activities that extend for a distance of 127 km will be held tomorrow, with the participation of 100 riders of various nationalities from within the country and from the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
The CEO of the Office of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, "for Procurement and Finance", Chairman of the Supreme Organizing Committee for the tournament, Amir bin Juma Al Falasi, welcomed the girls participating in the race, and said in press statements: The race comes as confirmation of the role of women in society and their ability to excel in all Areas, particularly sports, and to meet the many participation requests that were received in the past versions of girls wishing to take part in this challenge in the largest race of its kind in the world for amateur riders.
On the other hand, a member of the Organizing Supreme Committee, Mohammed Al-Mousa, revealed that the Organizing Committee has endeavored over the past days to prepare the track for the race in accordance with the best safety standards, to ensure that the competition runs smoothly and organized. He said in a press statement: The specialized teams will be present in all aspects of the organization, including observers, arbitrators, and traffic insurance patrols in the streets, in order for the organization to be in accordance with the highest levels, and in proportion to the name and status of the championship.
