5.21 remained of the CHL semi-final return between Luleå and Frölunda when the score was 3-1 to the guests (a total of 5-4 Gothenburg citizens). Then the target disco went into the arena.

The home team had a huge chance of acknowledging the double meeting when someone in the secretariat happened to push the button. Instead of getting the chance, the referees had to blow the game and control it all. It turned out then that the puck was never even close to entering.

There the home team was ruined.

Frölunda held on and won with a total of 5-4. The team is now ready for its fifth CHL final in the last six years. Czech Mountfield HK, which defeated Djurgården, is waiting there on February 4.

At the Gothenburgs, a jubilant Joel Lundqvist, along with Ryan Lasch, became big match winners. The third goal of the match was Rhett Rakshani. Luleå's only goal scorer was Juhani Tyrväinen.
