The match between Philadelphia and Boston in the NHL Ice Hockey got an unusual resolution.

After five to five at the regular end of the game, a speechless extension and eight saved or missed penalties, it was time for Philadelphia's Travis Konecny to post penalty. Konecny's penalty went in, and Boston's Brad Marchands had a chance to keep his team in the match.

Marchand rushed forward against the puck, rubbed it - but failed to get it from the center line and Philadelphia thus emerged victorious from the meeting.

Philadelphia had taken home a 5-2 draw during the second period and before the third, the score was 5-4 for visiting Boston.

"We fought our way back from a 5-2 draw, it feels good," said Philadelphia goalkeeper Carter Hart.

In the third period, Philadelphia's Travis Sanheim scored his second goal of the evening and rescued the team to an extension.

Philadelphian coach Alain Vigneault praised Sanheim after the match.

"My estimation is that we have only scratched the surface in terms of his potential," says Vigneault.

Boston's Anders Björk scored a goal, as did David Pastrnak and Charlie Coyle. David Krejci scored two goals and Björk is also noted for an assist.

For Philadelphia, Travis Sanheim scored two goals. Kevin Hayes, Sean Couturier and Connor Bunnaman each scored goals and Robert Hägg scored for an assist. Travis Konecny set the penalty.
