The Swedish Ski Federation has selected six ladies and six men who will represent the cross country team at the World Cup competitions in Czech Nove Mesto on 18-19 January.

In the Swedish women's group, the biggest thing is that Ebba Andersson is back after missing after being chilled during the final part of the Tour de Ski.

- It's a loaded bunch looking forward to this weekend's distance races. On the women's side, Ebba Andersson, Moa Lundgren and Emma Ribom are back after the colds they drew during the Tour de Ski. In addition, the seventh in the total distance cup, Charlotte Kalla, comes back after a quiet training weekend at home after the tour, says Magnus Ingesson, women's coach in the press release.

The biggest on the men's side is that three juniors have entered the squad.

- Jonas Eriksson, Fredrik Andersson and junior William Poromaa, have all made good results in the Scandinavian Cup and national competitions this winter. Coming weekend is a great opportunity for them to gain experience of international competition. Normally, we do not take juniors to the World Cup competition before the Junior World Cup, but this year the championship is only held in March and after that only the competitions in Canada and the USA remain, explains Mattias Nilsson.

On the men's side, there are also routine names that return. Calle Halfvarsson is back after relinquishing the competitions in Dresden, but it is Jens Burman who is best among the Swedes as he is a total number in the World Cup.

In Nove Mest, two distance races await 10 and 15 kilometers respectively. On Saturday it is free-style and on Sunday it is a classic hunting style start.
