Just weeks before the handball championships in Sweden, Norway and Austria, it became clear that Ljubomir Vranjes will take over Slovenia. Tonight Slovenia and Sweden met in an European Cup match where Vranjes won with 23-21. Afterwards, the Swedish coach was lyrical about the welcome from the audience in Gothenburg.
- Fantastic, I'm touched I must say. I think we were worth winning this match. But it is tough and always small margins that determine and Sweden could just as easily have won. We may have some margins with us there in the end, ”says Vranjes to SVT Sport.
