In the relay in Hochfilzen before Christmas, the Swedes had a heavy day and became ten, three minutes after Norway.

Today, Elvira Öberg, Linn Persson, Mona Brorsson and Hanna Öberg showed that they are to be expected.

Elvira Öberg started with three extra shots on her first round and sent out Linn Persson as six. Persson went well and just needed an extra shot. Mona Brorsson then made a cannon round and when Hanna Öberg went out on the closing round the victory stood between Norway, Sweden and France.

Ruffling finish

Everything was then settled on the standing shooter.

Sweden who did not win a relay on the women's side in nine years had the chance. But Öberg then shot three beams at the same time as Norwegian Tiril Eckhoff was cooler. Eckhoff decided the competition there, while the Frenchman Justine Braisaz shot even worse than Öberg and left the whale as third.

It was a raging spurt where Sweden kept the distance to France and finished second, 18 seconds after Eckhoff in goal. Braisaz and France finished third.

"Today everyone clearly fared better," praised Björn Ferry.
