The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives Foundation signed an agreement yesterday with the Spanish Real Madrid Foundation to establish and manage 10 non-profit football academies in four countries: the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Kingdom of Morocco, and the Republic of Uzbekistan, with the aim of 4,500 young men and women over three years are selected from the junior category, between the ages of six and 17 years, to join the non-profit academies, and to be trained by qualified and certified coaches from the famous Spanish club.

The agreement was signed in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation and Chairman of the National Olympic Committee.

The agreement requires Real Madrid to run these 10 non-profit academies in two phases, in specific regions of the four countries, in order to produce 4,500 young players within three years.
