Sharapova thanked the organizers of the Australian Open for providing a wild card

“Thank you,” Sharapova replied to a post about her invitation to Twitter.

Sharapova is the winner of the 2008 tournament. As of January 6th, it ranks 147th in the WTA ranking.

The Australian Open will be held from January 20 to February 2 in Melbourne.

Earlier it was reported that Sharapova received a wild card at the Australian Open.
